• Bodies on the Page 2, a collaborative zine edited and published by Jamie Kadas, explores the joys and challenges of living in a human body through the diverse work of 11 contributors. Zine Club Chicago is excited to celebrate the release of BOTP2 with a free community event curated by Jamie that features many of the zine’s contributors!

Please join us for Bodies on the Page Panel + Zine Release Event presented by Zine Club Chicago, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Richard J. Daley branch of the Chicago Public Library, 3400 S. Halsted St. in Bridgeport. Free!

    Meet the BOTP2 contributors:

Katie Armentrout (she/her) is a cartoonist, a licensed nail artist, and an ordained minister who draws from life as it hits her. You are sure to find her boppin’ around Chicago in real life, mostly never on Instagram, and in your dreams 24/7 XOXO. Follow @karmatrout

Celina Barajas (she/her) is an Animator/Illustrator living in Chicago. She studied Traditional Animation at Columbia College Chicago and has worked on over 48 animated television commercials as a clean-up animator/digital ink & painter with Calabash Animation Studio. She joined the Comic Con scene back in 2013 (C2E2, NWI CC, Chicago Zine Fest, Pocket Con, Cincinnati Comic Expo, LatinX Comix Chicago, Indiana Comic Con) and has been working on her own art and comics ever since. Her love of coffee and animals is evident in her work, which has been described as happy and playful. Her first self-published comic, “Color Me Whimsy”, which premiered at Chicago Zine Fest in 2016, is considered a reflection of her bubbly and whimsical personality.  Follow @celinabarajas and artbycelinabarajas.com

Jude R Bettridge (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist, specializing in comics, zines, and fiber arts — because they are a terrific show-off. Their work is the personification of a chatty-grandma-in-a-grocery store, discussing topics such as retelling nostalgic memories, experiences with the mundanity of adult life, conversations with their cat, mental health, queer identity, religious trauma, and more. Their portfolio aims to entertain, challenge, and creep out everyone, while subliminally begging the question, “is this person actually ok?” Spoiler alert: they’re probably fine. Follow @hey_jude_1118 and judebettridge.com

Robin Carnilius (they/them) is a Chicago-based multimedia artist and storyteller who creates pop culture media with a focus on LGBTQ+ and PoC representation and nerd culture. Follow @robincarnilius

C.E. Hanifin (she/her) is a zinemaker, writer, arts organizer, and social worker from the Southwest Side of Chicago. Her zines and community work explore the power of our personal stories to forge connections with others and inspire transformations of the heart and the world around us, often through the lens of her life as a Chicagoan. C.E. is the producer of Zine Club Chicago, founder of the South Side Zine Library, and co-organizer of South Side Zine Fest. Follow @zineclubchicago

Lee Honey (she/her) is your (self-proclaimed) favorite domme’s favorite bottom butch brat. When not curled up in bed, she’s at the drafting table drawing something horny or gay … most likely both. She’s a cartoonist and has been an active member of the Chicago kink/BDSM lifestyle since late 2019. Lee has published a number of written works and co-hosts a monthly erotic storytelling event alongside her friend B. She’s also the illustrator for her and B’s POC-focused kinky coloring book, available on Etsy. Follow @its_lee_honey

Jamie Kadas (she/her) is an artist and public high school art teacher. She has been creating indie comics for over 10 years and recently co-organized the inaugural South Side Zine Fest. Jamie’s artwork uses personal experiences to tell stories about body image, anxiety, and womanhood. Additionally, Jamie designs fat pin-ups that reimagine pop culture in a more inclusive light. These illustrations come in the form of prints, stickers, buttons, greeting cards, and even on her own handmade pottery! Follow @curvygirlcomics and jamiekadas.com

Megan Kirby (she/her) is a writer and illustrator who lives in Chicago. She’s published places like The Chicago Reader, The New York Times, TIME Magazine, and more. She writes a recurring zine called Coffee Spoons, and loves to make art about bodies, pop culture, and kitsch. Follow @dweebulous

Liz Mason (she/her) publishes zines with names like Caboose and Cul-de-sac. Her work has been in places like Punk Planet, The Zine Yearbook, The Chicago Tribune and the back of the toilet at her friends’ houses. She’s worked at Quimby’s Bookstore for two and a half decades and is now enrolled in a Library & Information Science Masters program at Chicago State University. Find her @caboosezine and LizMasonIsAwesome.com as well as 107.1 FM CHIRP Radio in Chicago, Wednesday mornings 6-9AM CT. Follow @caboosezine and LizMasonIsAwesome.com

Andrea Pearson (she/her) is the Chicago cartoonist behind the comic zine series No Pants Revolution. She also runs the small press comic and art zine distributor Aquatic Panda Distro. You can see some of her comics and scribbles on her Instagram. Follow @saturn2169 and Aquaticpandadistro.com

Clau Rocha (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and divinatory practitioner working as a library professional. Their hybrid research-studio practice centers on reimagining archival spaces and queer Latinx narratives through storytelling and divination, collaging together aesthetics from both academic library spaces and familial altars. They received their MA in Visual and Critical Studies from SAIC in 2022, and was a recipient of the MAVCS Fellowship award. Their work has been featured in exhibitions such as “Contigo, Diana Solis” at Co-Prosperity, “Home Not Home” at Pilsen Arts & Community House, and in independent publications such as Stanza:Nonbinary Anthology and Mujer Manifesto.
